About Exam

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)                              

JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.



There is no age limit to be eligible for JEE Main . However, candidates need to pass 10+2 or the equivalent examination in 2122. Candidates appearing for 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2022 are also eligible to apply irrespective of their age.

Candidates must have passed class XII or qualifying exam in 2022.

Candidates appearing in class XII or equivalent qualifying exam in 2022 can also apply for JEE Main.

How to apply

In order to appear in JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) 2022, the candidates are required to apply only online as per procedure detailed below

Online Submission of Particulars, uploading of scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression may be made at JEE (Main) website

Candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Acknowledgement Page with Application No. shall be generated

Candidates are required to take printout of Acknowledgement Page and keep it for reference. The Acknowledgement Page is not required to be sent to JEE (Main) Secretariat
