The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam for recruitment to various subordinate services like:
Assistants in Ministries/Departments, Attached and the Subordinate office of the Govt. of India.
Inspectors of Central Excise & Customs.
Inspectors of Income Tax.
Preventive Officers in Customs.
Examiner in Customs.
Sub-Inspectors in Central Bureau of Narcotics & CBI.
Assistant Enforcement Officer in Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue.
Divisional Accountant, Jr. Accountant, Auditor & UDCs in various offices of Govt. of India.
Auditor Offices under C&AG, CGDA, CGA & others.
Accountant/ Junior Accountant
Tax Assistant in CBDT and CBEC
Compiler in Registrar General of India.
The candidate must have to fulfill these mentioned eligibility conditions in order to apply for this prominent examination. These norms are prescribed the staff selection commission (SSC) and it is imperative to satisfy these norms. Read them and check whether they satisfying the conditions or not.
The aspirants must be graduated in any field and must have their graduation degree.
Age bracket for SSC CGL Tier 1 2017 is as follows:
For Assistant post: the age limit is 20 – 27 years
For Inspector: the age limit is 15 – 25 years
For SI in CBI: the age limit is 20 – 25 years
Only Indian citizens or subject to Nepal, Bhutan and Tibetan refugee are eligible for this examination.
Exam pattern and syllabus
SSC CGL Tier 1 2017 Application Form
If candidate’s eligibility is satisfied, then he is allowed to fill the application form in order to register him online. All the details inserted in the application form must be in the exact format and check it once before the final submission of the application form for the Exam of SSC CGL Tier 1 2017.
- Submission of the application form for SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 Exam began in the month of May 2017 and completed till June 2017.
- Application form can be completed in both online and offline mode as per candidate’s choice.
- The amount of Fee is Rs 100 for general category candidates. The reserved category is exempted from the fee.

Click to continue and download the E-Challan.
Make the payment either online or offline.
Download the confirmation page.

How to apply
First of all log on to the official website i.e. ssc.nic.in
Register as a new user at the website which can be created by using a valid email ID and phone number. You will get OTP of the required ID you want to generate for SSC portal.
You can pay the application online or through a Challan which will be generated after you have filled in the required Application of SSC CGL 2018 Exam.
You need to have the scanned copies of the recent passport size photograph, signature, and thumb impression to fill the application.
After registration click on the Apply button to get the application submitted to the portal.
After you click on Apply button you will get the application form, fill it online.
Then click on the Submit button after cross-checking the details or else you will not be able to make any changes afterward.
Download the duly filled-in application form
Take print out for future references.
