Kerela Law Entrance Examination is conducted for selecting students for admission to graduate and post-graduate courses in the government law colleges of Kerela. 

Kerela Law Entrance Examination is conducted for selecting students for admission to graduate and post-graduate courses in the government law colleges of Kerela.
The entrance is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Thiruvananthapuram. The admission to the various courses . i.e the 5 year L.L.B course, 3 year L.L.B course and 2 year L.L.M course, is based on the rank of the candidate in the entrance examination.
 
The colleges offering the LLB and LLM courses are :
Govt. Law College, Thiruvananthapuram
Govt. Law College, Ernakulam
Govt. Law College, Thrissur
Govt. Law College, Kozhikode


ELIGIBILITY CRITERION:
General Eligibility : 5 Year LLB course:
Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or any other examination recognized by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.
A candidate who has passed an examination in 10+2 course of schooling recognized by the educational authority of the Central or State Government or possesses such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to such 10+2 course by the Bar Council of India can also apply for admission to the course.
Candidates who are appearing/ appeared for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates also become eligible  for admission only if they produce the pass certificate of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
No candidate shall be admitted to the course unless he/she has passed the qualifying Examination and obtained 40% marks in the qualifying examination.However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes need only a pass in the qualifying examination with 35 p[er cent marks.
3 Year LLB course
Candidate seeking admission to the course should be a Graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities, recognized by any of  the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.
A candidate who has passed the Bachelor's Degree examination with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate
  (ie. 40 per cent marks for all the parts of the Degree Examinations taken together ) shall alone be eligible for admission to the 3 year LL.B. course.  However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes need only a pass in the qualifying examination with 35 per cent marks.
Candidates who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination.
   Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional Degree / Degree certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of Centralized Allotment Process.
2 Year LLM course
Candidates who have passed the L.L.B. examination (5 year / 3 year course) of the Universities in Kerala or other Universities recognized by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission. Candidates appearing / appeared for the regular Final year LL.B. examination can also apply  for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional Degree / Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at t he time of Centralized Allotment Process.


Age Limit :
5 Year LLB course - Applicants should complete 17 years on 31st of December of the year of examination. No relaxation of the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit. Copy of the relevant page of SSLC or equivalent certificate should be attached as proof of age.
3 Year LLB course - There is no upper age limit for admission to the 3 year LL.B. Course
2 Year LLM course- There is no upper age limit for admission to the L.L.M. course.
SC/ST Eligibility : 3 Year LLB course: candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes need only a pass in the qualifying examination with 35% marks.


APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Applications and the Information Brochure can be obtained from the Office of Commissioner. They can also obtain the same from the law institutes within Kerala by paying the application fee. Otherwise, they can download the same from the CEE website, www.cee-kerala.org.
Appropriately filled in forms are required to be send to the CEE office prior to the last date. Applicants should also attach necessary documents mentioned in the information brochure along with the forms.
Application fees: Rs. 600/- for General Category and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST Category aspirants
