The Common Law Admission Test is an annually conducted All- India Entrance Examination conducted by 14 participating law schools which includes the 7 National Law Schools, for selecting students to the undergraduate and post-graduate courses.

FOR GRADUATE COURSE : LL.B
Candidates appeaing for the entrance must have qualified the Certificate of Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) examination or any other equivalent , from a recognised institution with minimum 50% marks in the case of General category (45% for SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped Students).
Candiates appearing for their 10+2 examinationg can also apply for the test but have to ensure that they must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission
Upper age limit is 20 years for students of OBC and General category (22 years for SC/ST candidates) as on July 1, 2012.
FOR POST-GRADUATE COURSE- LLM
To be eligible for appearing in CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University minimum 55% marks aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST /OBC and persons with Disability)*.
Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test but must ensure that he/she has passed qualifying exam at the time of admission.
Application form alongwith the Information Brochure will be available at any designated branch of State of India or from the offices of the mentioned Law Schools.
Request for Application Form may also be sent to the Convener, CLAT-2012, National Law University, Jodhpur, NH-65, Nagour Road, Mandore, Jodhpur -342 304 (Raj.) with a demand-draft of Rs.3000/- only (Rs.2500/- in case of SC/ST/PWD) drawn in favour of the National Law University, Jodhpur CLAT A/C and payable at Jodhpur (Rajasthan).

Candidates applying online should have a demand draft of Rs.3000/- (Rs.2500/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in favor of National Law University, Jodhpur CLAT A/C and payable at Jodhpur (Rajasthan) ready before starting the procedure.
