The Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination is conducted by the MLN Medical College , Allahabad for taking admission to various medical and dental postgraduate programs.  

The Uttar Pradesh Pst Graduate Medical Entrance Examination is conducted by the MLN Medical College , Allahabad for taking admission to various medical and dental postgraduate programs such as MDS, MD, MS and PG Diploma courses in various medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh.




MD / MS : 3 Years

PG Diploma : 2.5 Years

MDS : 2 Years




Applicant should be a citizen of India.


Candidates should have passed MBBS/BDS degree from recognised medical college to become eligible for admission to post graduate Medical and dental courses.


Candidates who have obtained registration from state Medical Council or Medical council of India are also eligible for appearing.


Students who are yet to complete their internship can also apply provided they produce the certificate from Dean of the college about the completion of internship at the time of admission.


A candidate who has already taken admission on the basis of earlier UPPGMEE/ AIPGEE. is not eligible to appear in the examination until he/she completes and passes the course where he/she is presently admitted. However, such a candidate shall be eligible if:


a. He/She has resigned from the said course, his/her resignation has been accepted by the Principal of the Medical/Dental college or the Vice Chancellor in the case of candidates of CSM Medical University and he/she has refunded the full amount of salary/stipend received by him/her during the said course, before the date of notification of this examination.


b. He/She is presently pursuing P.G. Diploma course in any subject, with the condition that he/she will be considered for the Postgraduate Degree course in that subject only.




Candidates can easily apply online:


Candidates paying fee through cash at Axis Bank/Allahabad Bank can fill online application only after 2 days of making payment.


Candidates making payment through Internet payment gateway (debit/credit card) mode can apply instantly.


A non-refundable application fee of Rs 1500/- shall be paid by the candidate. Bank charges (Rs 20 for cash deposit (Axis Bank) and Rs 40 for Internet payment gateway) will have to be  borne by the applicant. There is no bank charge for cash deposit in Allahabad Bank.


Candidates are required to assess their eligibility, as given in the eligibility section of this information brochure, themselves before applying. The examining body will not assess their eligibility. The eligibility will be checked from original documents at the time of counselling/admission and candidates found not eligible will be denied admission for which they themselves will be responsible.


A candidate may download the pdf copy of the brochure online or  may obtain a printed copy of the brochure by sending a self addressed A4 size envelope with requisite postage pasted on it, to the Coordinator. The brochure does not contain application form. Application is to be only made online.
