The NEET counselling process
The NEET counselling process is being carried out to fill 975 bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBBS) seats in seven medical colleges and 1,030 bachelors of dental surgery (BDS) seats in 13 dental colleges across Punjab.
The counseling schedule of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 has been released has been released for the All India quota seats and the same would begin from July 3 onwards.
Meanwhile, in Punjab the counseling will begin from July 17.
On June 27, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences released its admission schedule and it is said that admissions to colleges are done on the basis of NEET scores.
How to apply for NEET counselling:

- Enter all the required details in prescribed format
- Click to submit
All the candidates need to deposit Rs 5,000 (Rs 2,500 for scheduled caste candidates) in the university account in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) or State Bank of India (SBI) through a challan form that will be generated on successful filling of the online application.

NEET Results details:
As per the reports, nearly 6.11 lakh candidates have cleared the exam and qualified.
This year, a total of 11, 38,890 students appeared for NEET examination, conducted in 10 different languages across 1,921 exam centres including 1,522 NRIs, 480 OCIs, 70 PIOs and 613 foreign students.
This year, Punjab's Navdeep Singh has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 rank by scoring 697 marks in the male category. Meanwhile, in the female category, Nikita Goyal emerged as topper from the same state.
Reservation of seats for NRIs:
- In total, about 15 per cent seats have been reserved for NRIs in all private institutes and Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot
- For NRI students, the last date to complete the application process is August 1
- About 13 seats each have been reserved in Government Medical College, Patiala and Amritsar, along with three seats in Government Dental College, Amritsar, and four in Patiala.

Provisional list of candidates: July 16
First round of counselling: July 17 to July 21.
Second counselling: August 8 to August 13, and the result on August 18
Results: July 24
